The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation has received advanced training in editing and Artificial Intelligence techniques from Muslim Television Ahmadiyya International Africa aimed at enhancing content creation and broadcast production.
The week-long training, held in Accra, was facilitated by MTA International Production team member, Ghaalib Khan, who equipped media professionals with modern broadcasting and digital production skills.
The training focused on advanced editing and emerging AI tools widely used in the global media industry. Participants were introduced to AI-powered editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, featuring tools such as Auto Reframe, Scene Edit Detection, Magic Mask, Voice Isolation and Speed Warp.
The programme also explored generative AI applications such as ChatGPT and Claude for scriptwriting, newsroom automation and content development. Other areas covered included AI-powered transcription, video enhancement, automated tagging and metadata generation.
The Director-General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation expressed appreciation to MTA International Africa for its sustained commitment to strengthening the professional capacity of GBC staff.
The training forms part of a longstanding collaboration between MTA International Africa and GBC aimed at improving broadcast content production and online distribution across Africa.
Over the years, the partnership has delivered specialised training in studio lighting, scriptwriting, set design, social media marketing and multicam production techniques.
The collaboration between both organisations dates back to 2015, with MTA Ghana Studios continuing to provide technical support and modern media training for GBC personnel.
