The Presidency says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will remain actively engaged with state matters and continue to receive critical briefings throughout his three-week working vacation in Europe.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Mr Sunday Dare, stated this while speaking with State House Correspondents on Sunday evening shortly after the President departed Nigeria for London.
Mr Dare said the President’s vacation comes after several months of sustained engagement with the affairs of the country, including major decisions on security, the economy and other aspects of governance.

“The President is proceeding on a well-deserved leave,” Dare said.
He explained that the period would also provide an opportunity for the President to stay more prepared ahead of the months of intense political activities, while governance and other responsibilities of the administration continue.
According to the Presidential aide, the vacation would not prevent President Tinubu from attending to important national issues, as communication with key government officials would continue throughout the period.
“He will be engaged with state matters on a daily basis,” Dare said.
He added that the President would continue to receive briefings from ministers, Service Chiefs and other officials handling critical national responsibilities and decisions.
President Tinubu departed Abuja on Sunday for Europe to begin a three-week working vacation as part of his annual leave. The President is expected to remain in communication with relevant government officials while away.
The President is expected to return to Nigeria at the end of his three-week working vacation.
