President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on his conferment and turbaning as the Sardauna of Ilorin.
President Tinubu urged him to embrace the culturally significant title not only as a mark of honour, but also as a call to greater service and responsibility.
Governor AbdulRazaq will be conferred with the title by the 11th Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu-Gambari, in Ilorin on Wednesday, September 16th.

In a congratulatory message issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commended the Emir for bestowing the prestigious title on Governor AbdulRazaq, who is also President of the Forum of Regions of Africa.
The President described the honour as a fitting recognition of the Governor’s leadership, public service and contributions to the development of Kwara State, particularly his efforts to promoting inclusive growth, social cohesion and the well-being of the people.
He also praised the Emir for sustaining the important role of traditional institutions in fostering harmony and supporting democratic governance and sustainable development.
President Tinubu expressed confidence that Governor AbdulRazaq would bring his experience, leadership, statesmanship and goodwill to bear in advancing the interests of the people of Kwara State and contributing to the progress and unity of Nigeria.
The President wished the Governor continued success, wisdom, strength and good health as he assumes the responsibilities of the Sardauna of Ilorin, expressing hope that the honour would further inspire him to deepen his service to the people and the nation.
