Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye will meet International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva in Washington on Tuesday to discuss the country’s economic developments and reform programme.
An IMF spokesperson confirmed the meeting scheduled for September 15, saying the discussions would focus on recent economic developments and Senegal’s economic reform programme.

Faye is expected to make a working visit to Washington on September 14 and 15, according to a statement issued last week by Senegal’s Council of Ministers.
The Senegalese president will then travel to Abu Dhabi for an official visit from September 16 to 17.
The meeting with the IMF chief comes as Senegal continues efforts to advance its economic reform programme and strengthen its economic management.
