2027: ADP Picks Young Nigerian as Presidential Candidate

The Action Democratic Party, ADP, in Nigeria has elected a young Nigerian, Mr. Aliyu Bin Abbas as its Presidential Candidate, pledging to transform Nigeria ahead of the 2027 Presidential election in the country.

Mr. Abbas who described his emergence as “a miracle” said he “will bridge the gap between the Young and the generation” by putting “strategies that will transform the country.”

The ADP Presidential Candidate made the statement shortly after his emergence as the party’s 2027 Presidential candidate during the party’s National Convention and Presidential primary election.

Mr. Abbas who is the Founder and Youth President of the National Youth Alliance, NYA, a pioneering youth-driven movement spanning all 36 states, 774 local government areas, wards, and polling units across Nigeria.

He is an indigene of Borno State. Rising from humble beginnings as an Almajiri child in Kano State, he pursued education across continents, earning postgraduate degrees from Concordia College in the United States.

With over two decades of civic engagement, he has dedicated his career to bridging Nigeria’s regional divides, advancing youth inclusion in governance, and mobilising a new generation of patriotic Nigerian leaders under the vision of “Birthing a New Nigeria.”
