President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has assured youths in Northern Nigeria of his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

Akpabio gave the assurance after receiving the Par-Excellence Award from the Arewa Revival Project (ARP) in recognition of his leadership and contributions to Nigeria’s democratic and legislative development.

The award was presented to the Senate President in Abuja by the Project Coordinator of ARP, Muttaka Ahmed Ibrahim, on behalf of the organisation.

Speaking during the presentation, Ibrahim said the award recognised Akpabio’s contributions to democratic governance and national development.

He highlighted the need for stronger collaboration among political leaders, community organisations and other stakeholders to address the challenges facing Northern Nigeria, particularly its growing youth population.

Responding, Akpabio expressed appreciation to the organisation for the honour, describing it as an encouragement to sustain efforts towards national unity, stability and development.
