The All Progressives Congress, APC has suspended its Kebbi State Party Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, and Chairman of Zuru Local Government Area, Aliyu Abiola, over alleged party infractions.
In a statement signed by the State Party Secretary, Alhaji Sa’idu Muhammad Kimba, the party said the decision followed complaints from stakeholders within the Zuru Emirate.

According to the statement, the complaints were based on the alleged lukewarm attitude of the suspended officials towards party activities, inadequate engagement with key stakeholders, poor mobilisation efforts, and non-compliance with established party principles and procedures.
The party stated that after a thorough internal review and investigation of the allegations, it resolved to take disciplinary action against the affected officials.
As part of the disciplinary measures, Alhaji Kana-Zuru was suspended from his position as APC State Chairman, with the Deputy State Chairman directed to assume the role in an acting capacity pending further directives.
Similarly, Abiola was suspended as APC Chairman of Zuru Local Government Area.
Meanwhile, the Kebbi State Commissioner for Livestock Development and Fisheries, Alhaji Kabir Usman Alaramma Zuru, has also been suspended from office.
In a separate statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, said the suspension takes immediate effect and will remain in force until further notice.
The statement further directed the commissioner to hand over all government property and official responsibilities in his custody to the Permanent Secretary of the ministry pending further action.
The reasons for the commissioner’s suspension were not disclosed in the statement.
