Vanguard Pan-African luxury fashion house, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, has announced the third edition of its intellectual and developmental platform, themed “Fashioning a Legacy: Leaving a Mark in Time.”
The conference, organised in partnership with the British Council of Nigeria, is scheduled to hold on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the British Council facility in Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to the convener, the event comes at a crucial time for Africa’s fashion industry, which is facing economic challenges and rapid digital transformation.
The conference will bring together designers, creative entrepreneurs, academics, policymakers, investors and institutional leaders to explore practical ways of building sustainable and globally competitive luxury fashion brands from Africa.
The initiative will go beyond traditional runway presentations by bringing together designers, creative entrepreneurs, academics, policymakers, investors and institutional leaders to tackle the challenges of building sustainable, globally competitive luxury brands in Africa.
The platform will facilitate practical discussions on workforce development, the preservation of sustainable textiles, infrastructure expansion and the global commercialization of African heritage.
The conference reflects the lifelong mission of its convener, Ms. Ejiro Amos Tafiri, who has been recognised as one of Africa’s 100 Most Impactful People in Fashion.
Following her recent appearances at major international fashion events, including Paris Fashion Week and Shanghai Fashion Week, through the Africa Reimagined platform, Ms. Ejiro Amos Tafiri seeks to bring valuable global insights back to Africa’s creative ecosystem through this open-access symposium.
“True sustainable growth in African fashion requires more than raw creative talent; it demands robust business infrastructure, deliberate mentorship pipelines, and strategic policy frameworks,” she said.
