The Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Mr. Abbas Tajudeen and other lawmakers have felicitated the Deputy Speaker, Mr. Benjamin Kalu on his birthday.
Describing him as a dear colleague, partner, brother, friend, and dependable ally, Speaker Abbas said it has been a wonderful experience working with Mr. Kalu, whom he shares a common passion, mission, and vision for the House.
He noted that their “partnership in leadership” has bettered not only the legislative institutions, but also the people and the government of the country.
In a congratulatory message issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker noted that Kalu’s leadership was inspired by his brilliance, hard work, and patriotism.
“The Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has been my dependable ally and reliable partner in service to our nation, as presiding officers of the 10th House. He makes our job of overseeing 358 other members who are representing over 200 million Nigerians easier. We have worked closely, in love, unity of purpose, and patriotism to Nigeria for the common good of the people,” Abbas said.
Speaker Abbas wishes Dr. Kalu longevity, sound health, divine wisdom, and the grace to excel in his future ambitions.
Similarly, the member representing Lavun Edati and Mokwa Federal Constituency of Niger state in the House of Representatives, Mr. Joshua Audu Gana also prayed for God’s blessings on the Deputy Speaker.
He said that the deputy speaker’s leadership style was worthy of emulation.
