Nasarawa State Government, in North Central Nigeria, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with JINLIDE MINING NIGERIA LIMITED, China, to accelerate the development and beneficiation of the state’s rich lithium deposits.
The signing ceremony took place after a grand opening and plant tour of the Jinlide•Qiangyu New Energy Plant in Nanchang City by the state Governor, Abdullahi Sule, and his Zamfara State counterpart, Dauda Lawal.
Governor Sule reaffirmed his administration’s drive to industrialise the state following a successful investment visit to Jiangxi Province, China.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Sule commended the management of Jinlide•Qiangyu New Energy for their confidence in Nigeria’s market potential and their contribution to the global clean energy transition.
“Our administration remains fully committed to fostering a transparent, investor-friendly environment through sound policies, robust infrastructure, and responsible mining practices,” Governor Sule stated.
Governor Sule emphasised that the state’s primary goal is to encourage investments that add value to local raw materials, create sustainable jobs, and facilitate technology transfer.
Impressed by the facility’s advanced manufacturing technology, Sule highlighted the importance of establishing similar mineral processing and value-addition projects back home in Nasarawa.
Governor Sule thanked the Chinese firm for trusting Nigeria’s economic climate and noted that his government will continue to prioritise transparent policies, infrastructure development, and responsible mining to attract global capital.
