Nigeria Schedules Fourth Evacuation Flight From South Africa

The Nigerian Government has announced that the fourth evacuation flight for citizens stranded in South Africa is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, July 7, as part of the ongoing initiative to repatriate affected individuals.

In a formal statement, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, indicated that an Air Peace aircraft will depart from Lagos to Johannesburg at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, returning with 270 Nigerian nationals.

“The aircraft will depart Johannesburg for Lagos with 270 returnees at 12.00 midnight and the estimated time of arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos is 5.00am on Wednesday, 8 July, 2026 all things being equal,” Ebienfa elaborated.
