Team Nigeria’s relay dominance was on full display once again at the African Senior Athletics Championships in Ghana, as the nation’s mixed 4x400m quartet delivered a flawless performance to capture the gold medal in spectacular fashion.
The team, comprising Ezekiel Asuquo, Toheebat Jimoh, Victor Sampson, and the veteran experience of Patience Okon-George, clocked a blistering time of 3:16.44 to outpace their continental rivals and secure the top spot on the podium.

The victory added another gold to Nigeria’s rapidly growing medal tally at the championships, cementing the country’s reputation as the powerhouse of African quarter-mile running.

Nigeria’s men’s 4x100m quartet of Favour Ashe, James Taiwo Emmanuel, Tejiri Godwin & Chidera Ezeakor booked their passage into the final at the African Senior Athletics Championships.
The team looked very good in the rounds, and they could surprise the host country when both countries meet in the final.
