The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has distributed the sensitive and non Sensitive materials to the 18 Local Government Areas in Edo State, Southern, Nigeria.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, (REC), Dr. Obo Effanga, stated this in an interview with Voice of Nigeria at the INEC office at Ikpoba hill, Benin city, the capital of Edo State.
According to him, ” we sent the sensitive and non sensitive materials to the 18 Local Government Areas in the state. The materials will be there over night with the personnel’s until tomorrow when they will be disploy to conduct the elections”.
He went further to advise the various political parties candidates that election is not a do or die affair, “Election is a national project and the politicians should not think that, if they do not win, it is the end of the world. Politicians should also sensitize their supporters.”
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, also urged all Edo citizens to be orderly and come out in numbers with their voters card to cast their votes.
