Niger Delta youths have been tasked with mobilising the region en masse to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s 2027 election campaign season officially kicks off nationwide.
The push gained fresh momentum in Abuja with the formal inauguration of state coordinators for the Niger Delta Accredited Supporters for Tinubu 2027 (NDASFT).
This marks a milestone that signals a major expansion of the grassroots movement working to advance President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the event, NDASFT National Coordinator Joseph Ebodei charged the newly appointed coordinators to build a disciplined, people-focused structure across the Niger Delta.
“Today is not merely about occupying positions; it is about accepting responsibility, building a stronger organisation, and committing ourselves to a shared vision for a greater Nigeria,” Ebodei told the gathering of political stakeholders.
Congratulating all 36 state coordinators, Ebodei reminded them that their new roles carried the weight of service above self.
“We must work together across ethnic, religious and political differences and remain committed to peaceful engagement,” he said.
He explained that the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda rests on a broader ambition: a stronger, more prosperous and united Nigeria.
In line with that vision, coordinators were urged to communicate responsibly, resist misinformation, and engage citizens with facts, respect and humanity.
“I charge every state coordinator to build an organisation that is open, disciplined and people-orientated,” Ebodei declared.
Vision
APC National Chairman Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, represented at the event by Engr. Dennis Francis, National Leader of the Niger Delta for Peace and Development Initiative, urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to use their positions to drive the organisation’s mission forward.
Francis called on members to galvanise grassroots support through door-to-door outreach so that both NDASFT’s objectives and President Tinubu’s ambitions can be fully realised.
“I want to charge each and every one of us to encourage one another, because without encouragement you cannot actualise the aims and objectives of this organisation,” he said.
NDASFT National Secretary Hon. Ariaga Dennis pointed to a string of ongoing federal projects in the Niger Delta as tangible evidence of the President’s commitment to regional transformation.
These include the coastal road project, repairs to existing motorways, the revival of Niger Delta ports, and continued progress toward the rollout of state police.
According to Dennis, these initiatives underscore a broader push to position Nigeria as a continental and global power.

NDASFT describes itself as a grassroots movement mobilising the people of the Niger Delta under the philosophy “Unity Today, Prosperity Tomorrow”.
The organisation says it champions effective leadership, active participation in good governance, and sustainable development across the region.
With the inauguration now complete, the 36 state coordinators are expected to intensify peaceful mobilisation efforts across the Niger Delta in support of President Tinubu’s continued leadership into the 2027 election cycle.
